REGISTERED IMPORTERS OF NONHUMAN PRIMATES FOR SCIENTIFIC, EDUCATIONAL, AND EXHIBITION PURPOSES January 14, 2003

I. Organizations eligible to receive nonhuman primates within 31 days of importation into the United States.

The organizations which are listed below are registered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as importers of nonhuman primates for bona fide scientific, educational, or exhibition purposes. No other organization may receive live nonhuman primates within 31 days of importation (arrival in the United States). Organizations not registered with CDC which use nonhuman primates for the permitted purposes may receive imported nonhuman primates only after completion of the required 31-day quarantine period at a registered facility. Registered importers who distribute imported nonhuman primates which have completed quarantine to facilities not registered with CDC are required to document that the animals will be used for only the permitted purposes. Registration must be renewed every two years. The expiration date of the current registration is shown in parenthesis following each organization listing. Those facilities with expiration dates which pre-date this document were in the renewal process at the time this document was printed.
